Blackrock Clinic, Dublin is pleased to announce that it has now opened a Satellite Centre in Limerick.

The aim is to deliver local consultations and follow up care to patients with access to some of the leading consultants from Blackrock Clinic.

The centre is conveniently located at Castletroy Park Medical Centre, Castletroy, Limerick.

Orthopaedic patients will be able to avail of this service as two of our Orthopaedic Consultants will be in situ several times per month. The Orthopaedic Surgeons available for local referrals are:

• Mr Stefan Byrne, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
• Mr Garry Fenelon, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon 

Patients referred by their General Practitioner can be seen locally in Limerick for their consultation. If a surgical procedure is required it can be carried out at Blackrock Clinic in Dublin and follow up consultations can then take place again in Limerick, making it convenient for patients located geographically in and around this area.

As a reminder at Blackrock Clinic there is:

• Minimal waiting time for orthopaedic surgical procedures
• Orthopaedic surgery is fully covered by VHI plan B and equivalent plans
• All in-patient rooms are single occupancy (an important factor in infection prevention and control)
• A dedicated orthopaedic unit
